Oh I'll get mine too. I'm doing short range weapon in Nov for whitetail and we both drew unit 30 bull tags. There will be more boney pictures to come

Short Range Weapons
In big game seasons restricted to short-range weapons, it is unlawful for hunters to use any weapon other than a muzzleloader, archery equipment, crossbow, a shotgun using slugs or shot of size #00 buck or larger, or a handgun using straight-walled cartridges not originally developed for rifles.

Seems pretty clear.

Mine was a salvage. I had been out looking for about a week but hadn't seen anything i could shoot at. Another hunter dropped by the trailer while I was grabbing some lunch and asked if I had taken a shot at a spike that morning. Someone had neck-shot it just down the draw from my campsite and left it. Nobody left in the area claimed it. Rather than let it rot, and since i was at the end of my trip, I tagged it and bright it back. 68lb hanging weight.

Yeah, I hear ya.  I don't like the fact that someone shot it and left it, but I get to add to the freezer.  Now if only my son could bag one in the next couple of weeks...

Seems pretty clear.

I'm using muzzleloader. Mo will be using shotgun with slugs. We will be sitting in the ground blind I got for Chrismas last year. I got exclusive permission to hunt on a very good piece of private ground in Unit 30.

Might just be a pair of spruce grouse hens, but I won't ever forget them, because they're the first game animals this hunting newbie has ever taken!

(Yes, they were delicious / Never even saw a buck :/ )
