What I heard today out of the Idaho State capitol.
« on: March 14, 2017, 11:40:55 AM »
So, this morning out of sheer boredom I was channel surfing.  I flipped over to one of the two public TV channels that airs the Idaho legislature in session.  They were discussing allowing someone being able to use their CCW as a valid ID when they go vote.  (Bill 149 as I recall.)  (Note: I must say I am glad an ID is needed in the first place!)
There was some casual discussion, and after a few minutes, time for the vote.  As they were voting, the vast majority were voting yes, however some lady stood up and voted no, because of the "intimidation factor" presented by the voter due to using a CCW rather than a DL.
I used to be disgusted, now I am amused.

If I had thought of that I might have tried my CCW when I voted today.

May global warming will melt all of the special snowflakes that get intimidated by seeing a license...
All data is flawed, some just less so.

Can you not use it for voting ID?  I did once, can't remember if it was on purpose, or just on top of my DL, but the lady did notice & gave a positive comment to me as I signed in.

I did get a "do you have another ID?" when I accidentally handed it to the TSA once though. :)
